Now let's talk bees.  Specifically, let's talk about Clan APis which is written by Dr. Jay Hosler (he's a neurophysiologist/ neuroethologist and he know a bunch about bees and their brains) and published by Active Synapse Comics.  Clan Apis is a five issue miniseries about life in the beehive from a resident's perspective.  This comic is, in a word, wonderful. A charming story that is laugh-out-loud funny and scientifically accurate to boot. The art is very clean, easy on the eyes, and easy to follow. If you're looking for comics for a younger reader, you absolutely cannot go wrong with these five issues (plus its printed in black and white for your coloring pleasure, thats a double value). If you're looking for a comic with an intelligent storyline that is humorous and compelling, Clan Apis is worth a quick search. I have heard through the comic industry grapevine that a collected edition of the entire series may be coming, but I wouldn't wait and miss this outstanding piece of work. Get yours now!
